Last Tuesday, at the Auditorium of the Universidade Sénior de Gondomar, the final event of the Youth Move Project, by the partner of Portugal, was held.
The same was subordinated to the theme “Social Entrepreneurship”. The opening of the meeting was the responsibility of José Paulo Sá, representing the União das Freguesias, with technicians João Constâncio and Cátia Sousa presenting the project and, simultaneously, the website created under the program. The event was also attended by speakers like Joana Costa, from Câmara Municipal de Gondomar and Maria Lencastre from AMUT’IESIM who presented the Social Incubator and Employment Measures for Entrepreneurs, in addition to the participation of representatives of important institutions in the municipality as the Atualgest, ANEM, Escola Secundária de Gondomar, Centro Social de Soutelo and Associação Recreativa, Cultural e Social de Silveirinhos. Throughout the 20 months of the project, João Constâncio and Cátia Sousa, working with the Spanish, Bulgarian and Romanian partners, worked on the necessary tools to improve the employability of young people in the area of social services, using the possibilities of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) through the development of high-quality training materials at transnational level. The objective was to motivate and increase the competence of young people to start a commercial venture in this social field.
